Hi, I'm Alice,
In 2019, a beautiful friend of mine introduced me to Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), and I don't think my sanity would have survived the Covid lockdowns at home with two young kids without it. Tapping has been my daily go-to pretty much since then. It has been such a saving grace when it comes to my own anxiety, self-doubt, fear of judgement and failure, or anytime I have tension or physical pain that I need relief from (i.e. a frustration headache from having to ask my kids to do something for the fifth time).
At the end of 2022, I stepped outside my comfort zone by signing up to complete a qualification with EFT Universe to learn the evidenced-based practice that is validated by a growing body of research. Now, as a Clinical EFT Practitioner, I'm looking forward to supporting others who may be struggling with their own anxiety, or are maybe held back by the pressure of perfectionism and feeling like they're not good enough.
I particularly love working with other mums who might be exhausted from raising kids and feeling like there isn't enough time to look after themselves, or may have forgotten how to reintroduce joy back into their lives throughout the pressures of motherhood. I truly get a kick out of helping someone release physical pain they may have been suffering with for years, or witnessing a client overcome a phobia by counterconditioning the stress response in the brain and body using EFT. The effectiveness of this incredibly empowering technique continuously blows my mind.
I love that EFT is an easy-to-learn technique, which can help release outdated, limiting beliefs. Restrictive programming that we subconsciously picked up in childhood and have unconsciously dragged around with us, leading us to wonder why we're constantly stressed, exhausted and/or in pain. I don't have time for living within these mental prisons anymore. I'm choosing to break free from the constraints of my mind in the second half of my life, and I'd love to work with others who think that sounds like a pretty great idea too.
